Hi Jeven, this week analysing our retention has been humbling, but enlightening.

We typically have only 30-45% watching after 20-30s but after that it sticks until the about 30s from the end where EVERYONE was dropping off. No long-winded outros any more. I wonder if thedrop off at the start is because of the travel style video where people just want to know some information, maybe we could preview later parts of the vlog at the start to see it would work better. What do you think?

Jeven Dovey Got it, thanks! Glad we got it back, this audience retention is key, shows us our video outros are WAY too long, possibly our intros need to do a better job of prepping the audience of what to come

Hey Jeven Dovey looks like this site is broken? I can't see the video and the site is acting incredibly funky

Hey Jeven thanks for the response, I love this platform so far! My idea is a bit of both - the searchable stuff is there (tips etc) to help us grow but I think that helps build out an audience for the entertainment side of things too. That way I think we stay "on brand" since all of our videos are about travel, but we get to rank on things and provide a bit more value with informative-type videos, as well as give important info through out vlog type videos too.... Does that make sense?

Hey Jeven Dovey I like the simplicity of the start, our videos are mostly travel vlogs, but as you've stated here, the ones that have done well are searchable videos - in particular reviews of our budget and accommodations whilst traveling, this is going to be clutch for us to grow. We've just released our first video in a series on a cruise too which is already performing great.

I have one question, we have VidIQ - if you're familiar with it is there anything that leads you to using TubeBuddy instead of VidIQ? Thanks

Hey Jeven, been checking out a lot of this and am going to start publishing 2 shorts a week to our channel using the tips you've given. I'll be publishing it on our YouTube, and I think what we'll do is publish an Instagram at a later date, maybe once we have 1000 subscribers or something. Right now I think the main focus is on publishing consistently, then I'll worry about the website and other social channels - does that make sense?

Excited to get this challenge done. Our niche is going to be modern day travel, how simple it can be to see the world. We'll show this through vlogs, guides and more informative videos like tips and budget breakdowns. That seems to have already been our niche from our videos so far
